Jackie quits Loose Women on air

Loose Women? Loose cannons, more like. Jackie Brambles sensationally announced her decision to quit the show live on air yesterday – just hours after she broke the shock news to her colleagues.
The 42-year-old former GMTV presenter and radio DJ, who first joined the hit ITV show three years ago, wants to spend more time with her two children.
“I initially wanted to cut down my workload on Loose Women but the anchor role requires a full commitment, which I no longer feel able to make,” the star told a stunned studio audience.
“This has been a really hard decision. I will miss the team, as well as our loyal audience greatly. As well as having some more time to be at home with my two very young children, I will be focusing on developing some exciting new ventures in broadcasting and related areas,” Jackie continued.
Jackie’s shock decision leaves the show’s producers facing a frantic search to find a new anchorwoman to replace her.
